In the relations between social classes I will partially un help to the concept of ideological un s

Across Europe since the turn of the 20th into the 21st century comes to higher education reforms. They are accompanied by new ideas and new vocabulary about what promoters would like a reformed higher education to achieve. We are talking about how we want to strengthen the "knowledge society", education adapted to the needs of the economy, to increase the employability of graduates, increase human capital and the like. How is the school system needed to adapt to new social conditions. Socio-economic conditions are really different than before let's say thirty or forty years ago and is expected to be with them in the company modifies the functioning of the institutions.
In the revised operation un of the institutions we can be viewed as a result of the changed relationships between social classes, which have their own important role in the nature of functioning of the institutions. In this article I will deal took a few common terms which are associated with the neoliberal reform processes in European higher education. Through them I will present some examples of manifestations of today's prevailing ideology and meaningful context through power relations between social classes. In this article, I will touch on issues such as: in what direction ideological tendency of the reform of higher education today, what the relationship between social classes thereof reflect and how this modifies the operation of the universities themselves.
In the relations between social classes I will partially un help to the concept of ideological un state apparatuses (IAD), which is a French Marxist philosopher and sociologist Louis Athusser justified in his famous essay "Ideology and ideological state apparatus" in 1970 (a brief reconstruction Althusserjevega concept of IAD and deposits Education can be found in the appendix at the end of the article). In his conception of the country consists not only of the repressive apparatus of repression which the ruling class you can ensure class domination in a society, but in the structure of the country is another important component, that are ideological aprati States (IAD), which primarily work with ideology. Althusser ie lists multiple IAD, but as the most important in capitalist society identify the school (the school, the educational system), which can be classified as higher education.
Althusserjev concept, although not perfect, it gives us the possibility of thinking about these institutions through the balance of power between social classes. In doing so, I take the fact that the company Althusserjevega time in many ways different from that of today: un in the West at the time still dominated by capitalism Keynesian type, which provide a stronger welfare state, greater control over the international movement of capital and the relative independence of public service systems (education, health care system etc.) of market mechanisms. After neoliberal rebound from the seventies onwards the market is becoming measure of all things, that since then penetrates into new spheres, which were previously separated from him. "Knowledge society" and "knowledge economy" un
One of the most common terms in connection with the reforms of higher education is so called "knowledge society" (Eng. "Knowledge society"), which is often presented as an ideal of modern educational efforts un and vision un for the future of European society. In fact, at first glance un seems a novelty and emphasized the importance of this concept somewhat unusual, because in principle not to be expected that many people would in principle opposed a society where people have a high level of knowledge, on the other hand, the social effort for systematic production of knowledge un and its use is not exactly a novelty in European civilization, we could say it is already connected with the Enlightenment thinkers. Chris Lorenz, un a professor of history at the universities of Leiden and Amsterdam, which also deals with the study of neo-liberal trends in higher education, notes the continuation of such efforts of Voltaire and Comte, Heidegger, to the Foucault and Habermas. [1]
"Knowledge Society" gets different meaning in the context of neoliberalism: underlines the importance of various forms of knowledge in economics, culture and politics in contemporary society. In particular, a key component of the "knowledge society" is so-called "knowledge un economy": knowledge is a crucial economic resource and goods that are sold on the market for the economic welfare of society. [2] Knowledge is the logic of such an important economic asset in particular, the way in which we can contribute to the economic success and making money. Although the use of knowledge in the economy itself is not controversial, but may be less (highly emphasized orientation of higher education in direct economic benefits) begins to neglect the kind of knowledge that does not have direct short-term economic effects, but it is important for human society (eg. Social sciences and humanistic theory or basic science). The European Union in the various documents efforts to increase economic un competitiveness vis other parts of the world, or maybe even trying to become the most competitive economic bloc. Accordingly, it must be more competitive on the world market (against the US, Asia, Australia) to become a European educational system. [3]
