Goodnight Prof. Lillo. I am a student of the UCM and for certain subject, I have intended to do work on the peplum in Spain. I have looked at some literature but usually nothing is said. Could you recommend any item or work for a bit and guide me to do it? I appreciate that. Greetings December 4, 2013 12:00
The peplum in Spain is mainly carried out in co-production with other countries such as Italy. In this presentation you will see some of the titles that had Spanish participation. http://prezi.com/vg1smhcife4y/el-peplum-en-espana/ For information on these films you can start with the book of Rafael of Spain, screen epic, T & B editors. The "Hispanic" peplum is Cantabrians Paul Naschy. In addition, although not correspond to the golden age of peplum, for me the TV series Viriatus gives the performance of this type of production. Thank you very much for your help Prof. Lillo. It is an honor that you have answered me, and I know his work for some time and shared passion for cinema and the classical world. As a student of Classical Philology did not want to miss the opportunity violympic to undertake a work of this type and you have been very helpful to me. I would ask: How does the new Spanish television productions Roman theme? Do you think that favor greater interest in the classical world in our country? Nice talking with you. Glad to hear this information helpful. Regarding your questions, Viriato seasons and its sequel in Rome seem somewhat loose regarding historical credibility and also in the script. However, the public would have liked as they are entertaining. Surely many have wondered who he really Viriato. violympic I myself wrote an article about it in National Geographic History. I do not think we're going to see a lot of "historical" violympic quality 300 (second part) or in the movies that are coming in 2014 on Pompeii and Hercules, but always to serve the classics in the public remain in effect. For me the best of the past has been Alexander O. Stone generally misunderstood. December 5, 2013 9:19
